Baltimore Christmas Baltimore Christmas A BOM designed for the Christmas Lover in us all. Baltimore Album quilts were made in Baltimore between 1846 and 1852. raw-edge applique using a fusible web. The fabric provided in the JaM Patch kits can be done in this fashion or needle-turned applique. Cost of the kits is as follows:

your background and your first month pattern. Each block will then cost $ 15.00. You will need to put a credit card number on file and you will be charged monthly for each kit. Once the BOM has begun on a monthly basis, no cancellations can be allowed. Therefore your card will be charged for any left kits and shipped to you. There is a $5.00 shipping charge, monthly for the program. If purchased complete, there is $15.00 one time shipping charge to receive your complete kit. BEACH WALK As Pine Needles, her design business, say "Simply Beautiful, beautifully simple." This is one we think quite a few of you would like to do or should I say possess. We will offer classes on the various blocks at our very own "Beach Walk" Class called "Walk in the Sand." But before I say anything further.....drum roll, please.....here it is.....  The fabric has arrived.....the patterns are here!!!! The patterns are $ 12.50 each. McKenna had captured the feeling of warm ocean breezes, building sand castles, watching the birds or just relaxing under an umbrella. Our kit consists of Hoffman batiks and cottons designed specifically for the “Sand in your Shoes” fabric line. The Hoffman fabric does so much of the creative work for you. “Beach Walk” is designed to be a fused appliqué art quilt; the blocks can be sewn together to form a 59” x 73” quilt or each block can be constructed individually as wall hanging.

We have kitted this special Block of the Month Program to assist you in completion of this quilt top.
The fabrics for each block have been individually cut and are in the corresponding pattern folder. We have reduced the amounts suggested if possible to keep the cost of the fabric kit to a minimum. The yardage of backgrounds is whole and to be cut as directed for the 12 blocks. Block 13 is cut separately.
All the block background have been done “reverse appliqué” with the blue dot cut away from the floral fabric. This cut out section is then used throughout the appliqués. Save all your cut outs!
Our sample has been completed with fusible appliqué. We used Steam a Seam Lite. When the pieces have been fused down they are then stitched down to assure they are there to stay. The stitching also enhances the designs. We chose to stitch the appliqués down before the blocks have been put together.

But it, also, is great for the maker…you can practice your quilting skills and get better at free motion should you chose that quilting style. (You first sandwich and quilt the two yard piece as desired.) The pattern is provided free with your purchase of the Duffle Bag Quilt and we have loads of different kits to get you going. We do not sell the Duffle Bag pattern separate. You only need batting, quilting thread and you are ready to go. You can purchase with a zipper or without and the fabric is priced at $8.00 a yard (what a bargain!) and a fee for the pattern and zipper should you chose to order it that way!
